This was the request from Interface Concept, who tell us about their experience with Tranquil IT.

Challenges
After learning about Tranquil IT on the samba.org forum in 2009, Interface Concept contacted Tranquil IT, as they were faced with the obsolescence of the NT Domain from a security point of view, which could have been a danger to the company’s Information System. A remote migration was carried out to meet their requirements.
Solutions
Perform a migration
Without a prior test phase, the choice fell on SAMBA-AD coupled with WAPT as the tool for deploying migration agents on client workstations. An efficient migration for both VM and AD tool configuration.
What SAMBA-AD has brought to Interface Concept
The solution we put in place enabled us to respond perfectly to the customer’s needs as quickly as possible. Samba-AD is the essential security domain manager. Samba-AD also makes it possible to remove the constraints associated with the NT domain, by making it possible to manage an estate that is compatible with Windows security patches.
Estimated gains using SAMBA-AD
Saving time during the implementation of the solution, the migration could have taken 2 days and occupied 3 people, thanks to the collaboration with Tranquil IT, it could be completed in just 2 hours with the support of a technician.
A gain in security with a fleet kept up to date, migrating to Samba Active Directory was essential for the company to continue to ensure the security of the fleet.
